Clay and how I draw in it.

I make a lot of work with imagery on the surface of the pots. It all started a few years ago with using underglazes and a brush to give the possumrat a new way to see the world. While those early pieces were great I was always wanting a finer line and just couldn’t get it. So I entered the world of sgraffito. This started to give me the fine lines I wanted but they just were t clean enough. So one day I just decided to use the sgraffito tool to make lines directly into the leather hard clay.
